Unexpected Friday Surprise: Marley Natural Bubbler

Marley Natural
Marley Natural WARREN BOBROW

I’ve never owned a bubbler. Sure I’ve smoked from them a couple times, ok so maybe that’s not entirely true about owning one. I’ve gazed at them on the inter-webs and in “head” shops, I did smoke a Marley Natural Bubbler out on the coast and it made quite an impression on me. They are not inexpensive tools, but the best smoking accoutrement rarely are. Simple devices such as the Marley Natural Bubblermake their way into my life and charm me and my lungs.

Paul Botto: President Of Lucid Green Digs Into Five Revealing Questions

Paul Headshot 2019

Warren Bobrow=WB: Why cannabis? What brought you to this path?

Paul Botto=PB: I had a catastrophic leg injury where I nearly had my leg amputated and was in the hospital for over two weeks. When I came out of the hospital, I was immediately put on 48mg of Dilaudid, which is 2.5x the clinical definition of “opiate dependency.” I heard you could treat pain and wean yourself off of opiates much faster through cannabis. With five surgeries, 23 screws, and three plates stacked up against me, I set out to learn about its benefits and experiment on myself to get off that killer cocktail as soon as humanly possible. This happened nearly three years ago, when the market was even more nascent than it is now. I was so impressed with my own recovery experience with cannabis that I was determined to turn it into  my next business. While I was raising capital for the new venture and building out a retail team, my business partner Larry Levy, who I worked with at my last company in supply chain data technology, called me and excitedly pitched his idea for us to go into business together. Coincidentally, he had the same idea to make the leap into the cannabis industry. After I told him what happened since we had last spoken, he yelled, “Brilliant! I mean, sorry about your leg, but it is an even better fit than I had hoped!”

Mark Grindeland: Co-Founder/CEO Of Coda Signature Digs Deeply Into Some Questions

Coda Signature

I’m just back from Denver and just before that, California. It seemed like every dispensary I walked into carried Coda Signature’s excelsior confectionary products. As I silently smiled inside, knowing that not only have I met the principals of the company in person, plus I’ve also seen where they manufacture the exceptionally fine goods (at least the ones from California) that is a gift that most will never experience. Thank you for allowing me this honor, it means everything to me. Not everyone gets this chance in life. I seized the moment and now it has started to reap the benefits. A far cry from being an executive assistant in a bank. If you knew me then, would you have known? Probably not.

Current State: Which Gourmet Cannabis Muse Fuels Creativity Best?

current state
My current state WARREN BOBROW: IPHONE XR

The Hall of Flowers, held twice per year in Santa Rosa, California acted as my muse bringing together the best and the brightest to my trained palate. But don’t take it from me directly, you simply must travel to California yourself and take the journey. As I found covering the craft spirits business and writing six books on the topic, there are different levels of good. A couple weeks ago I led a panel at the Berlin Bar Convent for Park Street University on Cannabis Cocktails. The consensus at the end of the panel was encouraging. High quality craft spirits manufacturers are genuinely intrigued by the combination of their excellent craft spirits and the addition of hemp based CBD. Unfortunately here in the USA, even the mere reference to THC is much more oblique. Through marketing, anything can be invented. Just look at the worm in Mezcal. If you ate one of these things please contact me. And if you drink rum based on the color of the liquid in that expensive bottle, you’ve been hoodwinked again. Most of what you pay extra for has been caramel colored. Oh gosh, why would they do that? Because there are no rules in rum! Rhum? Well that’s another story for another day. They have rules, but you are confused. I’m positive. No need for that in cannabis.

I first discovered Sackville & Co at the Hall of Flowers just a few months ago. You might say that I’m late to the party, but hear me out for a moment. First of all, Sackville & Co. is located in Brooklyn. I’m in New Jersey. It’s close by but completely out of touch with cannabis reality evidently.
