The International Restaurant & Foodservice Show of NY and Professional Bartenders Association has teamed up to find the best bartender in the region through the inaugural Hip Sip: Battle of the Modern Bartender competition. Bartenders will be judged on creativity, use of product, taste, presentation and flair. The nine finalists chosen to compete will battle in their respective spirit category and then the three winners of those rounds will advance into a sudden death round for the opportunity to be crowned the overall winner! This is your opportunity to shake it up and get those creative skills noticed for a chance to win $1,000!

NEW YORK, Feb. 15, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — The producers of Whisky LIVE, the internationally renowned whisky tasting event, turns it up a notch on this year’s annual US tour with an exciting new Whisky Nite! format touching down at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York on February 28 and at the Fairmont Hotel in Washington, DC on March 2nd.
General Admission Ticket Holders
General admission tickets are priced at $139 and for those ticket holders, doors open at 6:00 PM (NY) and 6:30 (DC). The ticket price includes an event program and a souvenir Glencairn tasting glass.

- Sample and taste several exclusive whiskies, which have never appeared in America prior to the event. Whisky LIVE is proud to debut these whiskies to American consumers.

Mixology Night at Lazy Eye Distillery
Mix up some awesome drinks with celebrity mixologist Warren Bobrow, a.k.a. the “Cocktail Whisperer” at Richland’s Lazy Eye Distillery Saturday, Jan. 20.
Bobrow has authored several books on the topic and is a contributing writer for Forbes.com. He will hold two sessions at the distillery during Mixology Night, where he will teach attendees how to make amazing cocktails with the distillery’s award-winning spirits and tasty ingredients. The first session will take place 4 to 5:30 p.m., followed by the second session from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Bobrow will take questions from attendees and will be selling copies of his books.

Join us this Saturday, December 16th as we ring in the holidays the best way we know how – with a wine and spirits tasting! This is always one of our biggest and best tastings of the year, and as we have at past holiday tastings, we’ll be handing out festive recipes to pair with each of the wines we’re pouring.
On top of that, spirits expert Brendan Edwards will be here with a selection of cognacs, brandies, and whiskeys, and Warren Bobrow, aka the Cocktail Whisperer, will be here to talk mixology and sign copies of his books. As always, light snacks will be offered, and this tasting is totally complementary.

A Virtual Cruise to the Isle and Highlands of Scotland- A Single Malt, Scotch Whisky Tasting
Back by popular demand, Warren Bobrow, noted international judge, journalist and food writer, the “Cocktail Whisperer” will share his knowledge of Single Malt, Scotch Whisky. From the Isle to the Highlands, you will taste 12 different Scotch whiskies, from the bland to the beautiful. From the bottles that you can buy anywhere to something special from his own stock. Warren will have us tasting the difference between the stuff your father drank and the fine bottles we should be drinking!
The cost per person will be $35.00 for tasters. Accompanying tea-totalers and designated drivers will be admitted free. This tasting is limited to the first 30 members and their guests to register.
This is sure to be an educational and memorable event.
The tasting will be followed by a Scotch themed dinner at the club. Have your kilts pressed and dust off your bag- pipes for a wonderful evening.
