Cocktail Whisperer
I just spent a few days down in Miami Beach at Benzinga Cannabis, the business and arts conference that represents the metric-driven intricacies in the effervescent and wildly entrepreneurial industry of cannabis.
I attended Benzinga, not knowing anything, but I did come with an open mind.
The premier gathering of cannabis entrepreneurs and investors in North America. No other conference offers the level of access and seamlessness of interaction between entrepreneurs building future billion-dollar cannabis enterprises and the investors whose capital will make that happen.
This will be the second time in Portland, OR that a convention of this kind will take place in our city. Every participant & every dollar plays a role in creating this convention, even every ticket.
Starting March 1 we will hold the Cannabis Industry’s 1st EVER TEXT-A-THON!! This fundraiser is to raise awareness for the men & women STILL incarcerated and to encourage the breaking of stigmas associated with cannabis. The funds collected will go toward helping minority-owned cannabis/hemp businesses as start-up capital. Each year the funds raised will be distributed & this is our kick-off year for the #DiversifyCannabis capital fund!

On Friday, November 8th the Upstairs Lounge at Riverview opens at 6pm with guitarist Bill Corvino, then at 8pm join author, chef and “Cocktail Whisperer” Warren Bobrow for a lively evening of conversation & craft cocktails. Banter back and forth with Bobrow as he mixes original and classic drinks from any of his six books– and then give these amazing aperitifs a taste! Bobrow’s books will be available for purchase to be signed following the event. Warren Bobrow is a mixologist, chef, and writer known as the Cocktail Whisperer. Bobrow is a freelance mixologist specializing in Craft Spirits. He has developed bar programs and implemented their cocktail and ice programs. While you were at the beach, reaching for another frosty beer during the final weeks of summer, I was getting ready for the Hall of Flowers. But first, what is the Hall of Flowers? Hall of Flowers is the bi-yearly event that takes place at the historic Sonoma County Fairgrounds located in Santa Rosa, California. Three buildings were packed to the gills this season with dozens more craft cannabis producers in evidence. But first, Hall of Flowers isn’t open to the general public. Far from a stoner event, there is serious business happening in each booth. But please don’t get me wrong for even a moment about the subject matter. The business of cannabis is a fluid, organic being. Opportunities present themselves in a vastly different format than say a liquor conference. Instead of getting drunk and uncontrollable, as is the case with certain liquor festivals, Hall of Flowers is a gathering of the peaceful tribes.
