With the yearly Four-Twenty Holiday firmly in my rear view mirror, I’m pretty sure that I missed out on all the celebrations. There were no celebrations in this part of Western New Jersey and I hope that whatever celebration you did, wherever you are in the universe, was muted. No one said that you should not have a raucous sesh, just be mindful of the broader world outside your home. Cannabis of this quality helps me not worry quite so much.

My taste buds have become much more acute lately. Maybe it’s all the humidity that envelops the air with the latest soaking rain that continues to pour down. There is a sudden alacrity in the flavors of high-end cannabis when the humidity is just right outside. I find that when I’m in a place like Las Vegas, cannabis tastes dry and uninteresting, that’s not to say that all Vegas cannabis is dry, just like Denver in that respect, my nose can really detect the difference.

Mother’s Day comes but once a year, so you better not forget your mom! If you have forgotten your mom in prior years, I’m pretty sure you won’t want go through that again, should you forget, yet again. Please, don’t forget your mom! (Or your wife…)
I first met Witt Rabon while judging the Connoisseur Cup of Cannabis, held in Denver, Colorado. Not only did he bring a smile into the room when he walked in, because everyone loves Witt, I can honestly say that he towered over everyone in the super tall ceilinged room. When he sits down in front of you, at least myself at five/nine and a half; I had to stand up to see him eye to eye. Witt smiles when he speaks, thus he commands your attention immediately, his candor and kindness are the basis of his passion, what he is doing in life, his path. I found by listening that when Witt speaks, his own unique form of verbal poetry flows out. He is peaceful inside and well spoken. Witt has amazing stories to tell about a multitude of topics and the time that you take to listen to his stories, deep memories are made. I may have a certain level of knowing, but Witt is so tuned in to his unique life, he’s seen things that I can only dream about seeing in my life.
Sonder Time! WARREN BOBROW: YES, I SHOT THIS WITH MY IPHONE!
Yes, their elegant vapor tastes like freshly picked blueberries, not the kind that have spent their lives floating in a can, but the wild ones, hand-picked in Maine. Those little tiny blueberries, sharp, acerbic and briefly sour against my tongue are what I’m describing. That’s what the delicious cannabis vapor from Sonder tastes like to me. Each puff comes smoothly nappied with tiny shavings of cedar and thick pools of lemon curd followed by dense shovelfuls of richly textured loam.

I had the rare chance to interview Josh Genderson, CEO of Holistic Industries. Since starting the company in 2011, Josh has grown Holistic into a national medical and consumer goods company, a cultivation and extraction network, and a retail dispensary chain. Josh launched Holistic based on the expertise he gained serving as President of Schneider’s of Capitol Hill, the Gendersons’ fourth-generation, family-owned liquor store, that is a staple in Washington, D.C. Today, Holistic Industries is one of the largest private multi-state operators (MSO) in cannabis and runs fully vertical operations (from seed to sale) in California, Maryland, D.C., Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Michigan, and soon Missouri.

Cannabis industry pioneer Andrew DeAngelo, like his brother Steve, is a visionary leader. And, that’s what the world needs more than anything right now, strong leaders like Andrew and Steve to help shepherd us through these trying coronavirus times. After 37 years of working in the cannabis industry, Andrew has learned a few things about navigating crisis and was kind enough to share insight on the topic: “People need cannabis when they are in crisis more than when they are not. I’ve always sold more weed in times of distress.”

I discovered the new technology that Rosinbomb utilizes through a mutual friend who is really into dabbing concentrates. His name is Otto Sabina and I believe that he knows more about this genre of *dabbing thc* than most anyone I’ve met. (Thank you Otto for teaching me about the art and the science of what I clearly don’t know anything about…)
