The Hapy Kitchen story starts with head chef, Carla Burns.
For years, Carla has enjoyed mixing the gazillion combinations of food ingredients, cannabis strains and terpenes to dream up new recipes, experiences and effects in the form of mouth-watering, mind-pleasing, artisan edibles.
She embraced Hapy Kitchen’s values of quality and integrity made popular with the Paleo Bar and quickly took charge of the kitchen and the team. With her passion for learning and drive for perfection, she and the Hapy Kitchen crew started producing some of the best tasting truffles, chocolate bars, caramels, gummies and tinctures Oregon has tasted.
But taste is only one focus for Carla. She also smiles when a strong THC test result comes back from the lab and, most importantly, she takes immense pride knowing she’s making something that people need when seeking a calming effect.
Carla believes artisan edibles should be accessible to all Oregonians and makes sure the edibles coming out of her kitchen are affordable without sacrificing taste.

Background on Vessel: We are based in Carlsbad, California. We officially launched in October of 2018, starting in out of our founders garage and have skyrocketed ever since. We now have a beautiful, two story, state of the art office in the “Carlsbad Research Center” next to the Callaway Golf Headquarters. The most notable vape pen battery we have is our “wood series” which is one of the only vape pens on the market to feature real wood. This is what started the buzz around our brand, in addition to our creative. Since, we’ve launched cases, charge stands, and have plenty more products in the works for 2020. In late 2019, we launched the B2B sector of our business offering custom designs and colors for select brands in the United States and Canada.
Notable Press/Partnerships: We recently partnered with Leafly.com at the MJBIZ Conference in Las Vegas. We are the first company Leafly has ever partnered with at such an event, and we are honored it was at the world’s largest cannabis conference. Rolling Stone also listed us as one of the “cannabis products we love” in an online editorial as well as featured us in their 2019 “Weed” issue. The Rolling Stone coverage was an unpaid, a purely organic mention.

TORONTO, Jan. 16, 2020 /CNW/ – TerrAscend Corp. (CSE: TER; OTCQX: TRSSF) (“TerrAscend” or “the Company”), the first and only global cannabis company licensed for sales in Canada, the U.S., and the EU, today announced that TerrAscend NJ, LLC (“TerrAscend NJ”) has been issued a permit to cultivate medical marijuana by the New Jersey Department of Health (“NJ DOH”). TerrAscend NJ is the second entity to receive its cultivation permit among the six applicants chosen by the NJ DOH in December 2018. Cultivation operations will commence immediately at its facility in Boonton Township, located in northern New Jersey.
Mad mixologist Warren Bobrow is, you could say, continuing a family tradition. “My grandfather was in the snake oil business,” says the author of four ornately-titled cocktail books (including Apothecary Cocktails: Restorative Drinks from Yesterday and Today, Whiskey Cocktails: Rediscovered Classics and Contemporary Craft Drinks Using the World’s Most Popular Spirit, and Bitters and Shrub Syrup Cocktails: Restorative Vintage Cocktails, Mocktails, and Elixirs).
He says his grandfather, Matthew Rosenhaus, was among the creators of Geritol, a boozy patent medicine ultimately investigated in 1959 by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and its manufacturers hit with heavy fines for making misleading claims about its health benefits.

Cannabis often has the reputation of being an unpredictable industry to work in, but Wurk’s Keegan Peterson is aiming to alleviate the numerous challenges businesses in his world come up against. Human capital services can be tedious for mainstream businesses to handle but a logistical nightmare for even compliant cannabis companies to navigate due to convoluted regulatory and banking constraints. Peterson is challenging preconceived notions around the intersection of cannabis and HR, making the payroll and human capital industries work for cannabusinesses instead of against them. By tailoring Wurk to meet the specific needs of the cannabis industry, Peterson has redefined what human capital providers are capable of in this ever changing political and regulatory landscape. Wurk is powered by cutting edge cloud computing that is designed to help small businesses scale nationally and step in and efficiently fill in any operational gaps when mainstream human resources and payroll providers suddenly drop cannabis companies, which is unfortunately a cumbersome, expensive, a frequent occurrence in the industry.

Bar Takeover: Cocktail Whisperer Warren Bobrow
Friday, November 8 | 8 PM – 9:30 PM Riverview Live, Burlington NJ
Master Mixologist Warren Bobrow is taking over! Taking over Riverview’s bar, that is, to serve up some of his creative cocktail creations. This Friday the Upstairs Lounge at Riverview opens at 6pm with guitarist Bill Corvino, then at 8pm join author, chef and “Cocktail Whisperer” Warren Bobrow for a lively evening of conversation & craft cocktails.

I’ve never owned a bubbler. Sure I’ve smoked from them a couple times, ok so maybe that’s not entirely true about owning one. I’ve gazed at them on the inter-webs and in “head” shops, I did smoke a Marley Natural Bubbler out on the coast and it made quite an impression on me. They are not inexpensive tools, but the best smoking accoutrement rarely are. Simple devices such as the Marley Natural Bubblermake their way into my life and charm me and my lungs.
