Jason Cranford is not a man to sit still. From the get-go in his childhood in Georgia, with Air Force jets thundering overhead, time is always of the essence for this man full of real ambition and passionate determination. No one sleeps at night it seems with the sound of supersonic jets overhead, a trait he probably carries to this day even in the silence in Colorado where he lives now. I’m sure living in Colorado offers a different sound menu during the night. This inherent passion for change drives itself into the medical cannabis sector as well. That’s where Jason has built a life for himself.

Cannabis companies always need design help bringing products to market. Not everyone has a design school graduate on their start-up’s staff, ready to assist at all times. Unique applications require unique companies to bring their often out of the box dreams into reality. That is what interested me in the cannabis design and tech company named 14th Round. I am always interested in companies that stretch the boundaries of knowledge and bring the purely imaginative into scope. Dr. Tiffany Bowden is a strong educational proponent for social justice and equality. I wasn’t sure I wanted to touch on this topic, but when I learned of the positive work done by Dr. Bowden, I realized that she would fit the cannabis lens that I’m charged with. Her diversity trainings were the reason why I wanted to say yes, even before the question was asked. I wanted to approach this topic with sensitivity and open-mindedness. Asking the 5 Questions to Dr. Bowden should enlighten and educate equally because there really is no easy way to approach uncomfortable topics without diving right in. As in right now.
