There is a deeply mystical air about Randy Smith. He could be meditating on his next amazing thing that he’s postulating on creating from thin air it seems. Is it real estate? Ultra-high end Cannabis? Or is it being a part of something larger, and therefore truly amazing in my view? Sure, he’s on one hundred different levels all at the same time with absolute grasp of all the people, places, things and details, but that’s only a very small part of this highly pragmatic and enthusiastic man. I see him in many different roles, enjoying all their nuances and education. How did I surmise this? Well, from my short time in his presence I learned that Randy is full of boundless excitement and that youthful quality of a ready smile backed up by the kind of person who, in his case you’d want to chill out just and talk about the good old’ Grateful Dead.

My favorite kind of friend is that one never met. And nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile.

Luxury European cars are often distinguishable by their distinctively elegant, elongated and heavy key fobs. The ones on German cars in particular seem to stand out by their pure lines and shining chrome accents. When I was sent by forces unknown to write my thoughts about the Cobra Extracts delivery system and their respective gourmet quality oils, I was very intrigued. But being so busy these days comes at a cost with my package containing the Cobra Extracts dispenser and the two 510 carts. I had some travel scheduled and wasn’t planning on making the trip without at least something to lessen the indignities of air travel. I first became acquainted with Kiva Confections when a friend of mine passed me one of their tiny blueberry/chocolate confections. You know the ones, the tiny infused blueberries are offered in a lovely tin, enrobed in lusciously smooth chocolate, without a tinge of the grittiness that sometimes plagues lesser brands of THC infused chocolates. These tiny gems come micro-dosed, as not to overwhelm the beginner by too much THC, too fast. You’d have to eat a couple handfuls to really get buzzed, and I don’t think that’s the reasoning behind these infused treats. They do pack a nice buzz, so start slowly as I always recommend. Try one, wait an hour or so if you need more, take more. Otherwise sit back and enjoy the good feeling. The chocolates are beguiling too from a product standpoint. They are soft across the tongue and teeth, well blended buttery and rich to the mouth. The blueberries are perfectly ripe and plump. A gorgeous treat that also gets you buzzed. A win/win for people like myself who enjoy medicating without drawing attention to ourselves. When you light up a joint, no matter what state (of mind, or otherwise), you are in- it’s going to attract all kinds of attention. But pluck a couple Kiva Blueberries into your mouth and all is better. It’s uncanny to think that everything should be sweet- Kiva is well balanced in the flavor quotient. Not too sweet, just right.

I’m constantly intrigued by young people who have big dreams. Especially those who understand how hard it is to make a success out of themselves, like Nadir Pearson. Through my digging a bit deeper, I found that he has a personal connection to the Ardent Lift, which is the little machine that I find irresistible when I decarb cannabis. The Magical Butter Machine, or the LEVO are great next steps for edibles and drinkable cannabis, but that’s another topic for another day.

And that impressed me greatly, because my path mirrored hers, finance, creativity. The struggle to succeed at something that is so untested, so stigmatized. So wrong in many people’s eyes. Too bad.
